Tidworth Town Council's Easter holiday litter pick
I moved to Tidworth over 14 years ago to join my husband who is in the Army. I currently run my own small accountancy practice and have 20+ years’ experience in accountancy and financial management. I previously worked as the Finance Director at the Army Families Federation, where I developed a good understanding of the pros and cons of military life and also of the funding and financing options available to both military and civilian charities and non-profit making groups. I also worked as Finance manager for the TNB Garrison Early Years group and I still support them when required.
I have undertaken several voluntary roles including treasurer for Tidworth Town Football Club, Grateley Primary School PTA, and FC Salisbury United. I currently sit as a director of the board for the Tidworth Residents association.
Through my business, I have developed a good understanding of local business. As an army wife and through my previous employment, I understand the issues that military life poses for many families (in particular loneliness and isolation) and as a mum, I have experienced local schooling, health care, activities and groups and have made good connections with the civilian population.
I love Tidworth, I love all that it offers for its population and I love how we bring together people from all over the world into one small town. I am very proud to be part of the council and our local community..
