New Community Youth Centre
Opening of Community Youth Centre, Ludgershall
My work experience has always been around the theme of ‘people’. Previous roles have included bus driver, assistant operations manager (buses), working in HR and in learning disability. I trained at Southampton University as a learning disability nurse and worked as a community learning disability nurse for an NHS trust until recently.
I currently devote my time to various voluntary roles and initiatives within the local community. This includes co-ordinating the Monthly memory café in Tidworth which I initially set up in 2016. I also organise the community monthly litter picks as part of Keep Tidworth Tidy. Another role is as co-host on the Thursday morning show and community liaison on Castledown FM.
I am also involved with various health groups in the area, from being Chairman of the Tidworth Community Area Dementia Action Alliance, to a member of Tidworth community area health and wellbeing group, a Patient Liaison Committee member, with Castle Practice, a Dementia Friends Champion and Deputy Chair for the local Governing Body and safeguarding lead Governor at Zouch Academy. I spent my childhood in Ludgershall and after a short time away in Dublin in the 1990’s I returned to Tidworth. I have been married since 2002 and have 2 children.
